That’s what we’re trying to do. We’re all getting up so early that even Lawson needs to be woken up (figures he’d finally start sleeping past 6:30 so that we’d have to turn around and start WAKING him just a few months later!). Then we all scramble to get ready and out the door on time. After school, all the kids in the cul-de-sac meet up and play. HARD. They dig out toys, ride bikes, ride jeeps and get all hot and sweaty in the Texas heat. And as hard as it is getting them up in the morning, it’s equally hard getting them inside in the evening – and fed, bathed, teeth brushed, and back in bed to get ready to start all over in the morning
I haven’t taken many pics this week, but here are a few…
This is Lawson telling us all about his first day of Kindergarten in the car. (We had to run Piper to a dentist appt right after school). He was happily eating the cookies from his lunch that he wasn’t able to get to earlier in the day!
And these pics of Piper are from tonight, when everyone was out playing. She was doing cartwheels in the grass and I was able to get some shots of her in the gorgeous late afternoon light
