the Star Christmas Parade

Let the holiday season begin!  We pulled the kids out of school an hour early yesterday and left Round Rock for our 9 hour drive to Mississippi.  The kids were awesome during the ride, watching movies and playing video games.  We only had to make 3 short pit stops so we arrived at Granny and Grandpa’s at 11:30pm.  The kids slept the last two hours of the drive, so unfortunately when we arrived they were wide awake!  They kept poor Granny up until 1:30 AM, when she finally managed to convince them to go to sleep.

We woke up Saturday morning, had a quick breakfast, then headed down to Aunt Annie Lou’s house to watch the annual Star Christmas parade!  It was a lot of fun – each of the cars and floats tossed candy and everyone was so friendly.  We joked that only 1/2 of the town could watch the parade because the other 1/2 was IN the parade:)  Here are some of my favorite photos from the parade:

Looks like fun…hometown parades. That brings back memories of parades in Olmsted Falls when I was little. xoxo
