The school held it’s annual spring carnival on March 1st. We arrived around 5:30 and stayed the whole night – right up until it all shut down at 9pm!
Piper and I walked up to the school with another mom and daughter we saw walking past the house (ok, she scootered – I walked!). Right away she met up with her friends and I noticed they did a lot more standing around talking this year than in past years! She did go into the petting zoo area and managed to snag a cute little bunny. But for most of the night, Piper and her friends played the little games to win slap bands other trinkets and they suckered all us parents into buying them silly hats and mustaches
Lawson was a different story – he wanted to play games, do the slides, eat the food – you name it. No standing around chatting for this kid, lol! He certainly made the most of his 7 minutes in the petting zoo area, that’s for sure:
Yes folks, that’s a goat. He would have been a perfect 7-animals-in-7-minutes, but the darn pigs evaded him and he failed to score an animal in the final minute It was really funny watching him try to catch a pig, too!
And here’s my attempt at getting one of those sweet “brother and sister at their first school carnival together” photos:
Yeah, it wasn’t happening. Anyhow, we all had a great night!!
