The Taylor Swift Adventure, part 2

When we finally made our way to our seats, the first opening act was already on stage – Florida Georgia Line.  They were pretty good!

After Florida Georgia Line, the lights came back on and the stage crew got ready for the next act, Ed Sheeran.  Everyone was still really excited and the small wait wasn’t too bad.

Then Ed came on, and he was SO awesome.  No band, just him and his guitar and his voice.  He would play bits of a song on his guitar, or sing some background accompaniment, and then record it using this device on stage.  then he’d play it back and make more music to go with it and play that back, and he continued to layer on bits of music until he was ready (about 2 minutes), then  he’d finally start singing against all of the background music and vocals he created.  SO COOL.  He was really funny, too – did a great job entertaining the crowd.

After Ed we had the big wait for Taylor Swift to come out!  The kids started getting restless (and tired, because it was their usual bedtime by now).  We waited about 10 minutes, then lawson said “mommy I have to pee”.  The girls had to go too, so I frantically whisked them all out and off to the bathroom.  Luckily there was no line, and I was surprised that we made it back with time to spare!

I have no idea why it shows up this way, but the R-E-D letters were really RED in person – not yellow/orange.  There was a lot of red that night, that’s for sure!
