Part 1 – getting there
part 2 – opening acts
So then…it was time.
the lights dimmed, and Taylor came out. It was crazy. Lots of screaming, that’s for sure. Most of the audience was young girls and their moms – but there was a healthy dose of older girls, too. The whole thing was such a great concert experience for the kids (safe and not too “grown up”).
Anyhow, some of my favorite pics from the show. It was a really amazing production, so many costume changes and set changes. She had three different stages all along the floor of the Erwin Center, and moved across the floor all night. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house! we had amazing seats, since we were off to the side she was right in front of us the whole time.
Got this shot of all the cool lights and signs people had during a dark moment…
Ed Sheeran came out again to sing with Taylor, their song called “Everything Has Changed”. So good!
Piper knew the words to every.single.song. It was SO sweet to watch her sing along!
The finale was really amazing. She saved up “We are Never Getting Back Together” and the whole crew was dressed in these really elaborate vintage circus costumes, with Taylor in a neat Ring Leader’s jacket. And then these confetti cannons shot off, which was awesome and everyone was scrambling to grab the confetti, then a second set of confetti canons went off, this time with red hearts and white squares. SO AWESOME.
We took off right after this last photo. Lawson was really tired (kind of fell asleep in my lap during the last song) and I wanted to beat the traffic. We parked in a perfect spot and made it home in less than half an hour. Both my kids fell asleep before we got there, but their friend S. was still going strong! We let them sleep in the next morning and took them to school late. We were all still tired the next night, too. But it was SO worth it It was a really amazing show and I hope we get the chance to go again!
