A tale of two art camps

Two weeks of summer have passed.

So far the L kids have completed two art camps and a tennis camp.  And they have been very happily busy – just the right mix of free time and scheduled activities.

Piper’s art camp the first week was a pretty generic art class, lots of hands on projects working with 3-D supplies (not focused on drawing/painting).  So she several clay projects and a few paper based projects as well, including paper mache!  The last day of camp is the “art show”, where guests can come to see your work.  Piper invited her friends Melanie and Samantha to come for her show.

Lawson’s art camp was about the rainforest, so they did art projects about the rainforest and the animals and plants within.  He didn’t invite any extra people to his show,  just his family!

(disclaimer:  please excuse the colors in these – there was horrible fluorescent light overhead plus I had to use my flash, so the white balance is all over the place!)

Lawson’s show!
