So I’m taking another photography class. With an amazing instructor whose images are truly moving and beautiful.
This class is about learning “timeless and emotive photography”. It’s quite a stretch for me, as I’m more of a “call it like you see it” kind of girl. We had a lesson to read, and we’re encouraged to get out and shoot every day this week to try to practice what we’ve read. I admit that I wasn’t at all interested in shooting, as this type of shooting just doesn’t come naturally to me. But the best thing about these classes is that there are other women in there with me, and we all talk and help each other. I wrote online that I didn’t know how to begin this assignment, I had nowhere to shoot, etc. and that I wasn’t feeling motivated to even try it.
Enter my new friend (and Georgia Bulldog) Kristen VonBurg . She replied back a short while later and said “why don’t you tell your daughter about the assignment and ask her to help you?”. So I did. And man, was Piper ever excited about our project. She wanted to wear an old dress that was mine as a young girl, one that Piper herself wore 5 years ago. It’s been tucked away in her closet and she wanted to pull it out for our project. And you know what? it fit! like a shirt. So we put on leggings
She was so cute and easygoing and such an amazing model for me. I think that with Piper’s help, I just might get through the next month of this photography workshop. Love my sweet girl!!
