If you’ve visited my blog before, you know that what I love most is to capture and share pictures of everyday moments. So I’m really excited that today kicks off a new project called “My Everyday”! Every month we’ll post an entry to our blog sharing our images for the month and we’ll link to the next member of the group who is sharing their own version of “My Everyday”. You can click through every blog until the last one will bring you right back here! So after you’ve spent a few minutes browsing my post, please be sure to click on over to see Cindy Cavanagh’s images!
These images were all taken yesterday – Sunday, October 6th.
We had such a busy weekend with Piper’s 9th birthday party sleepover (more images on that later!)…but Sunday we spent the day cleaning out closets, pulling out items to yard sale next month – and most of all – decorating for Halloween! It has become tradition in our house to decorate for Halloween right after Piper’s birthday party. The kids LOVE all the Halloween decorations, and we had a day of gorgeous weather that had us all itching to be outside. The day was even more special since Granny and Aunt Annie Lou were here to help!
First we made a trip to Garden Ridge and Target to get a few new items, then we all got to work setting things up. The cat was loving every minute of it – chasing and attacking everything that moved. From the cords on the blowups to the spider web material, she pounced and played with us all afternoon. The kids really enjoy helping to set things up and they’re very proud of the yard when we’re all through. Granny and Annie Lou go all day long – never taking a break! We got so much stuff done around the house and it really feels like FALL! And as if the day wasn’t already about as perfect as it could be, right before dinner time the Kona Ice truck made an appearance. The kids dashed inside and grabbed a few dollars from their piggy banks to get one last icy treat before the weather turns cold this season.
