My Everyday – November

These past few weeks our lives have been filled with football practice, tennis lessons, and football games.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  Throw in a little homework and reading before bedtime, and that’s pretty much what we do…every week;)  We’re all trying to get adjusted to the time change, which means that it’s almost dark by the time I get home and our lazy evenings outside with neighbors and friends have come to an end.  Throw in our first official cold snap this week, and it feels downright fallish.   Unfortunately for you, my daylight hours for taking pictures are severely limited – so you’re stuck with some really bad indoor pictures as part of this month’s my everyday project.  When you’re through here, be sure to head on over to see what Cindy Cavanagh  has for you this month!

This is how things look when they come out of his backpack at the end of the day.

For the first time ever, he used a pillowcase as a trick or treat bag.  He enjoys climbing into it as he digs through his candy.

Halloween detritus.

At night we try to split up the kids and read with each one before bedtime.  Mike was downstairs reading books online with Lawson.  The kid is obsessed with accumulating points and advancing to the next level.  Lucky for me, it was my night with Piper so I got to sit with her while we both read for 40 minutes.  Love that.  Then it was 15 minutes of harassing them to brush teeth and put on jammies before tucking them in bed at 8:30.  Tonight they slept together in sleeping bags on the playroom floor.  We are happy to oblige in that request, as we love any time they’re getting along and spending time together.

What cute kids! ;o) I bet his grandpa dug through his pillowcase the same way when he was a boy!
